Hon. Emiko Odin-Etuwewe Pays Courtesy Visit to APC Executives, Declares Interest for 2027 Delta Assembly Race

Hon. Emiko Odin-Etuwewe, an aspirant for the 2027 Delta State House of Assembly election representing Warri South-West Constituency, has formally declared his intention to contest for the seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The declaration was made during a series of strategic courtesy visits to party executives across the wards and the Local Government Area (LGA). During the engagements, Hon. Odin-Etuwewe officially informed party leaders and stakeholders of his decision to seek their support and blessings as he prepares for the 2027 legislative race.
According to the aspirant, his decision to contest is driven by a strong desire to further advance development, representation, and inclusive governance in Warri South-West Constituency. He described the move as “a great step in the right direction” aimed at building on the progress and opportunities available for the people of the area.
The visits were widely welcomed by party leaders and grassroots stakeholders who described the development as timely and encouraging. Hon. Odin-Etuwewe met with Ward Executives, AG Executives, and LGA Executives of the APC, engaging them in discussions centered on party unity, grassroots mobilization, and the future development of the constituency.
Speaking during the visit, the APC LGA Chairman, Collins Ebieto, commended Hon. Odin-Etuwewe for his track record of service and commitment to the people. He particularly highlighted the aspirant’s achievements during his tenure as Councillor and Leader of the Warri South-West Legislative Arm.

“I have heard a lot about your good work,” Ebieto said, adding that the bills sponsored by Odin-Etuwewe during his time in the council remain impactful and are still being remembered by the people.
Similarly, the APC Organizing Secretary, Fenemigho Godwin, who revealed that he shares the same Orere roots with the aspirant, praised Odin-Etuwewe for his dedication to educational development within the community.
“I am from Orere like you, so I know you well. Since your exit as councillor, no other councillor has been able to fit into your shoes, especially regarding your education agenda for the Orere people,” Godwin stated.
Adding her voice, Exco member Madam Ebika Tomfa Oganwu also commended Odin-Etuwewe for his social development initiatives, particularly his programmes aimed at empowering and supporting the girl child.
The party leaders encouraged him to remain steadfast in his commitment to public service and community development, urging him to continue the impactful work he has become known for.
Across the party structure, Hon. Emiko Odin-Etuwewe is widely regarded as a grassroots politician with strong leadership qualities and a deep connection to the people.
