According to organisers, the 2025 edition will not only highlight the traditional institution but also promote cultural tourism, attract global visitors, and strengthen the collective identity of the Yoruba people.

A Celebration of Unity

Speaking ahead of the event, Chief Promoter Iba Gani Adams noted that the festival remains a cultural landmark. “The Kakanfo Festival is more than a gathering; it is a reaffirmation of our roots, values, and the strength of Yoruba heritage. We are excited to bring together leaders and monarchs in celebration of this timeless tradition,” he said.

Looking Ahead

As preparations gather momentum, the people of Ogun State and Yoruba communities worldwide are expected to converge on Ifo for what promises to be a colourful display of tradition, dance, music, and royal pageantry.

With its blend of history and culture, the Kakanfo Festival 2025 is set to reinforce the significance of Yoruba unity while projecting the richness of its heritage to the world.
