Ezekiel Oyetakin Expresses Gratitude Ahead of His Anticipated Installation as Chief in Warri Kingdom
The Warri Kingdom is brimming with excitement as preparations intensify for the anticipated installation of Mr. Ezekiel Oyetakin as a Chief in the historic and culturally rich Warri Kingdom, under the distinguished reign of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri.
Mr. Oyetakin, a respected son of the Ilaje extraction, hails from the Ago Gboro axis covering the Orere and Deghele land mass—communities that, for generations, have lived peacefully and loyally under the lordship of the Olu of Warri, alongside the many diverse ethnic groups that make up the kingdom’s harmonious socio-cultural tapestry.
In an exclusive interview with CoastalReporters.com, Mr. Oyetakin expressed profound gratitude and emotion. He described the gesture from His Majesty as deeply humbling and an extraordinary honour, noting that being considered worthy of such a revered traditional responsibility is both uplifting and a call to higher duty.
According to him, the recognition reflects the unity, inclusiveness, and progressive leadership that Ogiame Atuwatse III continues to champion across all communities within his domain. He reaffirmed his commitment to contributing meaningfully to the peace, development, and cultural cohesion of the kingdom.
