Information obtained from the DHS website on Monday indicates that the individuals were convicted of a range of offences, including fraud, drug trafficking, assault, manslaughter, robbery, and other related crimes.
According to DHS, the arrests were carried out as part of an intensified nationwide operation targeting criminal immigrants.
In a statement, the department said it is drawing attention to “the worst of the worst criminal aliens” apprehended by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The statement added that under the leadership of Under Secretary Noem, DHS and ICE personnel are implementing President Donald Trump’s immigration policy by prioritising the deportation of individuals with serious criminal records.

President Donald Trump’s administration has sustained an aggressive campaign against criminal and undocumented immigrants across the United States, with Nigerians reportedly among those significantly impacted.
Reports indicate that while some Nigerians have gone into hiding, others have begun quietly returning to Nigeria amid the intensified enforcement actions led by ICE.
The broad crackdown — which reportedly includes door-to-door raids — has sparked fear, controversy, and protests in several parts of the country, particularly following a number of high-profile encounters involving federal immigration officers.
