The Chairman of the Alpha May Club, Mr. Nelson Wilbert, on behalf of members of the prestigious club, has warmly welcomed the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, to Warri (Aghofen) ahead of her scheduled visit on Thursday, 26th February 2026.
Her Excellency, fondly described as The First Lady of the Nation, Daughter of the Soil, and Mother of the Nation, will be visiting her ancestral homeland to meet her people in the revered ancient Warri Kingdom under the reign of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri.
It is noteworthy that the First Lady is Itsekiri by tribe from her mother’s side, a heritage that further strengthens her deep-rooted connection to the Warri Kingdom and its people.
Speaking ahead of the historic visit, Mr. Nelson Wilbert described the occasion as a moment of honor, unity, and cultural pride for the Itsekiri nation and the entire Warri Kingdom.
According to him, the visit symbolizes strengthened ties between the Federal Government and the people of the Niger Delta, while also reaffirming Her Excellency’s ancestral bond with the land.
He further stated that Warri (Aghofen) stands united and fully prepared to receive the First Lady in grand cultural splendor befitting her distinguished office.
Members of the Alpha May Club pledged their continued support for initiatives that promote unity, empowerment, development, and the advancement of women and youth across the region.
