Alpha May Club Hosts Colourful New Year Party in Lagos…

The Alpha May Club on Sunday, January 11, 2026, hosted a colourful and highly successful New Year Party at Stillwater Gardens Estate, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos, drawing members, families, community leaders, youths, and well-wishers together in an atmosphere of unity, culture, and celebration.

The well-attended event marked the Club’s first major social gathering of the year and set a positive and inspiring tone for activities in 2026. Guests were warmly received and treated to a vibrant programme that reflected the Club’s core values of brotherhood, cultural pride, and family cohesion.

President’s Keynote Address
Delivering the keynote address, the President of Alpha May Club, Mr. Nelson Eyituoyo Wilbert, expressed gratitude to members and guests for their continued support and commitment to the Club’s ideals. He reflected on the achievements of the previous year and outlined the Club’s vision for 2026, emphasizing unity, mutual support, youth development, and meaningful contributions to society.
Mr. Wilbert commended the Events Committee for the seamless planning and execution of the New Year Party, noting that such gatherings strengthen bonds among members and reinforce shared cultural and family values.

The event was further dignified by the presence of Chief Lawrence Anirejuoritse Wilbert, who attended as the representative of the Olu of Warri.

He conveyed goodwill from the Palace and praised the Alpha May Club for its role in fostering unity among the Itsekiri people, particularly those residing in Lagos.

Itsekiri communities in Lagos, as well as youth bodies, were strongly represented, highlighting the Club’s broad reach and inclusive outlook.
Cultural Display and Family-Centred Activities
One of the major highlights of the celebration was a captivating cultural performance by the Omoko Dancers from Ajegunle, whose energetic and colourful display thrilled guests and showcased rich Itsekiri cultural heritage.
In line with the Club’s family-oriented values, games and fun activities were organized for children of Alpha May Club families, creating an atmosphere of joy, laughter, and togetherness that resonated throughout the event.
