Okotie Joseph has emerged as the first-ever President of the Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths (UIY), a newly formed pan-Itsekiri youth body established under the directive of Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri.
His election took place on Saturday, August 30, at the historic Olu Palace in Warri, during a well-attended electoral process.
UIY was officially launched during the Itsekiri Youths Day, held as part of the 4th coronation anniversary celebration of the Warri monarch. The formation of the group marks a significant step towards unifying and empowering Itsekiri youths under a structured and royal-backed platform.
The emergence of Okotie Joseph is seen as a move to provide focused, visionary leadership in line with the monarch’s drive for youth inclusion and community development.
