Warri, Delta State — A violent incident occurred during the ongoing itsekiri celebration, which started on the 19th and continued until today. Despite the urhobo people having designated quarters in Warri, such as Idimisobo and Agbasa for specific groups as settlers, tensions escalated when the agbassa and Idimisobo with malicious intent, attacked and shot at some itsekiri celebrants partaking in the Olus coronationanniversary rally round the city.
It is an act of envy as envisaged .This unfortunate event resulted in six Itsekiris individuals being seriously injured, and their condition is currently uncertain. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being assessed to determine the cause and prevent future occurrences.
